Roomful of Sky's monthly acoustic series continues, at our intimate and magical neighborhood living room!
It's 'The Night of Two Chucks' at Hayko's this month! First off, longtime Roomful of Sky stalwart and lifelong poet Chuck Heery performs his first ever full solo set-- come and witness the culminating moment of the birthing period of this great new talent. Then, we have the return of Chuck Dorman to the Hayko's stage. Chuck played a rapturously well-received rootsy set with his supergroup Cadillac Dorman last October, now he's back, fronting a revolving door ensemble of close friends and musical associates for his own long-overdue headlining set. Don't miss this historic night!
As usual, there's minimal amplification, if any-- it's a living-room style concert, so come on out for this special night, complete with Hayko's home-made Turkish tea...

Uhm, how do we put this? Roomful of Sky is IN LOVE with Noe Venable.
You will be too, once you hear her sing...!
We've known Noe for years, and have been entranced by her wonderful voice, songwriting, perspective, unique-ness, her albums, and her commitment to grass-roots creativity and the Do-It-Yourself ethic, etc. She's been a true inspiration to us at Roomful of Sky and we were so excited to have her as part of our 'Save Hayko's' concert last month.
Do yourself a favor and check out Noe's full set at the Rockwood on the 27th. Noe will be accompanied by Greta Gertler on keys and vocals and Yair Evnine on cello and vocals, and will be continuing to develop arrangements for her new record.
We'll see you there, in the Noe fan club section...!

After the outstanding success of our first 'Intimate Night of Music' event at Hayko's this past October, Roomful of Sky is proud to announce a regular monthly series of nights at the Turkish Carpet showroom!
Roomful of Sky forefathers Phil Robinson and Jason Vitelli kick things off-- each will turn in a 50-minute solo acoustic set at the intimate, magical venue.
As was the case last time, there will be minimal amplification-- it's a living-room style concert, so come on out for this special, risk-taking night!

Roomful of Sky takes over the beautiful showroom of Hayko's Turkish Carpets, for an intimate and magical night of live music!
Full sets from The Bliss Jockeys and Jason Vitelli. Short supporting sets from Phil Robinson (solo), Jessica Lee (full band), and Ellen Weiss (solo)!
At Roomful of Sky, we like to do things a bit differently, hence this night of music at a special location! We've been holding our
Culture Circles
at Hayko's beautiful showroom for some time now, and figured this would be a unique venue for some live music.
Imagine: candles flickering, sweet incense filling the air with a beautiful aroma, magically ornate carpets draped from the walls, sitting on the floor or on rolled-up carpets, barefoot, listening to acoustic guitars (not even plugged in), as if you were just hanging out with your musician friends...
There will be minimal amplification at this performance-- it'll be a living-room style concert, so come on out for this special night, complete with Hayko's home-made Turkish tea...

After a year-and-a-half of building grass-roots community through workshops, showcases, open mics, etc. under the banner of 'The NY Musicians Group'... community founder Phil Robinson is proud to announce the name Roomful of Sky Records and to officially launch the scene into live event promotion!
And what better way to kicks things off than with the debut of two bands that have come up through our community--
Phil himself debuts his new 13-piece band, The Bliss Jockeys and unleashes a can of polyphonic joy. And, from the ashes of Mother May I comes Justin and Hector's new rock project: Rain Of The Rock. Each band will turn in a 30-minute set.
This is the start of something big. Say you were there when...!
